Super-Sized Hibiscus

With the weather warming up, the hybrid hibiscus are beginning to show off their brightly-colored and super-sized faces. My husband and I have planted several in containers bordering a meandering brick walkway so we can enjoy them during our daily strolls. This particular one I am holding in my hands is appropriately named 'The Path' because its bright colors and size always leads me to it. Few plants shout "summer tropics" than hibiscus. If you live where winters are mild, they can remain outdoors year-round in the ground or in containers, but where winters are frigid, plant them in pots and bring them indoors in brightly lit areas until spring. Check out websites such as www.hiddenvalleyhibiscus.com and you will ooh and aah at all the colorful, enthralling and amazing hibiscus hybrids.
