Gigantic Funflowers

Sunflowers and summer are synonymous and giant sunflowers put the fun in gardening. Use them as a temporary "living fence," a golden forest or fashion into a floriferous playhouse or teepee. And when the back of the seed head is brown, dry in an airy place, then scrape off the seeds and roast for a nutritious snack or provide a buffet for the local bird population.
