Cymbidium Orchids Brighten My Winter Garden
If it were not for my cymbidium orchids and camellias, there would be few flowers blooming in my winter garden. The cymbidiums spike and bloom earlier than the camellias, but both brighten my days during the months from December-February. And they require such a minimal amount of care. Once the blossoms are spent, I fertilize them with cottonseed meal every 6-8 weeks until early autumn, make sure they are watered regularly, divide the orchids every 2-4 years and a profusion of winter blooms is the reward. Such incredible beauty for so little care.
