St. Louis Cardinals and Scotts Team Up for the Squirrels
The Busch Stadium field is considered one of the best in baseball, a quality that the St. Louis Cardinals Head Groundskeeper, Bill Findley is very proud, but it may also have attracted the grey squirrel, aka the Rally Squirrel. Mr. Rally Squirrel and his furry-tailed entourage have been entertaining Cardinals fans by scampering around the field during the post-season games. While the St. Louis Cardinals team and fans sympathize that the Rally Squirrel and his friends love the field as much as the players, they have found a new home for them at the Wildlife Rescue Center. The Center rehabilitates injured, sick and orphaned native wildlife and releases healthy animals to their natural habitat. Through educational outreach, the Center promotes a harmonious relationship with native wildlife. To make sure that the Rally Squirrel and his buddies are comfy cozy in their new habitat, Scotts made a $10,000 product donation including Morning Song Squirrel & Backyard Wildlife Food, Scotts Songbird Selections Wild Bird Food and other Scott lawn care products for the grounds. This should make for a happy habitat ending for the Rally Squirrel, even though he will no longer be able to "root" for the St. Louis Cardinals.
