The Simple Pleasures
This morning my grandson Samokai and I are harvesting more Pakistan mulberry fruit, strawberries, lemons and oranges. Of course, we eat most of our harvest before we even get back to the house (except we save the lemons to make lemonade). After feeding our fish in the pond, we are going to buy some giant sunflower seeds to make a "wall of sunflowers." Seeing the garden through the eyes of a child reminds me that such simple pleasures are the most enjoyable and memorable. Life is sweet and good, especially when I can play in the garden with our grandson.
