Monadenium rubellum - Red Monadenium

This member of the Euphorbiaceae was described in 1987. It's found in the Central, tropical part of Africa where it grows in a well drained soil and filtered sun. The caudex will get up to 2.5 inches in diameter and the stems can reach a foot long.
